Summer Gardens Cards

He thrives before the sun, And his shoots spread out over his garden. Job 8:16

Hello everyone!

Another quick share today of a couple of garden them cards. I’m entering these is a Simon Says Stamp contest.  Hope you enjoy!  I’ll add more content later with information on which stamps I used and how I created these.

This Card was made with 3 different sets.  The flowers are from Altenew – Doodle Blooms.  The little bird is from the Lawn Fawn Fly Free set, and the sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamps Handwritten Greetings set.  I used the My Favorite Things Stitched Circle Frame Die-Namics for the white frame  I’m not sure where the background paper is from.

So this actually a see through card – I cut the circle with the flowers and the sentiment too small, so I made a white frame on both sides of the shaker piece and used two pieces of acetate for my sandwich. When you open the card, you see the flowers and sentiment completely. I masked all the flowers as I stamped and then I sponge the sky using distress ink – I believe it was Tumbled Glass (I actually made this card a few months ago when I started stamping again).  I glammed it up with some Wink of Stella and filled the shaker with sequins and seed beads.

This card was made with the Doodle Buds stamp set from WPLUS9 and is one of my most favorite sets.  It’s so incredible versatile!  I masked and stamped the flowers and leaves and then I cut around some of the outside edges to pop them up over the edge of the die cut frame.  This is another one I made several months ago but I think it turned out sort of cute.  I colored using Sandy Allnock’s analogous coloring technique.  The frame is from a die cut set called Framed Tags Madison Avenue by Mama Elephant.  The Hello die cut is from Lawn Fawn and is called Scripty Hello.  I added some Wink of Stella and some white dots to the flowers.
