Jimmy Buffett – License to Chill
Okay, still feeling silly! And still thinking about Jimmy Buffett. I think it’s because it summer time. I know this song isn’t original to him, but on the License to Chill album he sings it with George Strait, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith – just a fun song to sing with and to your honey.
So that leads us in to this fun card. I so wanted these stamps from My Favorite Things forever – they weren’t in stock so I kept checking and finally! I needed them to send a card to a young friend of mine who is on her way to becoming an amazing chef.
This isn’t the card I made for her, but another idea I had. I stamped some of the tools in a Gray Memento ink randomly on the background, I didn’t want them to overwhelm the rest of the card since it’s fairly busy.
The rest of the elements were stamped in Simon Says Stamp Intense black, and I cut the blue striped circle using a stitched circle die cut. I’m not sure where the background paper is from. I colored everything with Copic markers, and used a white gel pen to add stripes to the bowls and dots to the chef’s scarves. I used foam tape to pop up all the elements. It’s an A2 size card.
Thanks for stopping by!
