Joy is the serious business of heaven. CS Lewis
It’s been a breathtaking day, culminating in dinner with my precious sister-in-law, niece and husband. We sat out on the patio at a local restaurant and caught up on all the doings. It was terrific.
Then home for a short nap and a little bit of time for crafting tonight! I seem to have an addiction to this particular stamp set, and I’m having lots of fun seeing how many different styles of cards I can make with these fun flowers.
This set is called Doodle Buds, and it’s from WPLUS9. These are great for either stamping and cutting out as I did here, or stamping directly onto the card and coloring. I’ve been wanting to use this cute jeans pocket die cut as well (not sure where it’s from unfortunately).
I cut the die out from some cute blue striped paper. I did back the die cut with some navy card stock both to give it a bit of added support and also so the stitching cut outs would show up a bit better.
I colored the stamps with Copic markers and then cut them out. I mounted the jeans pocket with several layers of foam tape to give it some “bend” and then just foam tape and glue to layer the flowers and leaves appropriately. Finished it up by drawing “stitching” and a “loose thread” around the edge of the card, and then mounted that piece directly onto an A2 base. I haven’t added a sentiment yet because I’m not sure who I’ll send it to, and I want to make the sentiment fit the occasion.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
