A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. Proverbs 17:17
Hello everyone. I know I haven’t posted in awhile. Still working on a few health issues but so happy that things are improving every day. A test this last Friday shows my heart is doing well! God is blessing me. I have amazing friends who are always there for me and this card is in their honor. I was so excited to be the guest designer for August for Paper Smooches. Kim’s stamps are so much fun to work with! I’m super excited for the September release (check it out, there are some really darling images and innovative die cuts).
This card was made using the Friendly Flowers stamp set. I used just a few of the images and can’t wait to use the rest – I have an idea in my mind for a flower garden filled with birds and butterflies!
I lightly drew a circle in pencil, and then stamped all the images onto masking paper. After I cut out the mask images, I arranged them around the circle to form a loose wreath. I lightly marked with pencil from 1 – 10 so I could remember where I wanted each flower and which should be on top.
After stamping and masking each flower, I used Tumbled Glass distress ink to sponge lightly around the inside and outside of the wreath.
After removing the masks, I colored the flowers with Copic Markers. I stamped the words “Hello” and “Friend” from the set onto white card stock and cut flags on the ends. These were also colored with Copic Markers.
Finally I double mounted the card onto bright blue card stock and a bright yellow card. I add some glittery doodads and some colored twine.
The words were mounted with one layer of foam tape.
I hope you enjoy this one, and thanks so much for stopping by!
